Raúl Raygadas Vela

Raúl Raygadas Vela worked as an “A” Analyst in Industrial Property and was Departmental Coordinator of Trademark Examination at the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property from 1997 to 2002, being in charge of the execution of agreements relating to requests for administrative declaration of expiration, nullity, infringement and cancellation, both of distinctive signs and of patents, inspection visits in infringement, expiration, nullity and cancellation procedures, both of patents and of distinctive signs, the preparation of ruling processes for the above mentioned procedures as well as compliance with the rulings of judgements issued by the Circuit Collegiate Courts in relation to the decisions issued by the Institute; the review and approval for registration of the requests for the registration of distinctive signs, the review and approval of the official communications of requirements, prior registrations and legal impediments relating to the requests for the registration of distinctive signs, the preparation, review and approval of distinctive sign denial projects as well as the compliance with the rulings of judgements issued both by the Circuit Collegiate Courts and the Federal Court of Administrative Justice in relation to the decisions issued by the Institute.

Afterward, he worked in several law Firms, conducting activities as an attorney in the area of Intellectual Property, being in charge of the coordination, review, preparation and monitoring of different procedures and of the filing of administrative procedures before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property and the National Institute of Copyright, contentious trails before the Federal Court of Administrative Justice, amparo proceedings in administrative matters; drafting, supervision and control of franchising agreements; control and supervision of applications and registrations of trademarks and patents with correspondents in the United States, Canada, the European Union, Africa, Asia and Latin America as well as the supervision and review of the procedures relating to Electronic and Internet Law.
